Application Instructions: 1) Preheat Bottom Pad - Before application, Stahls’ Hotronix suggests lowering the top platen for 60 seconds. This helps the adhesive to melt properly during application. 2) Preheat Garment - Place garment on bottom pad and press for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and chemical treatment from lettering area on garment. 3) Layout Lettering - Place adhesive side down on garment (the milky, matte finish is the adhesive side). use Stahls’ Lite-Tack or Thermo-Tape for easy placement. 4) Cover Lettering - Use a Teflon cover sheet for a screenprinted finish. Glossy or matte cover sheets are also available from Stahls’. 5) Heat Apply - Heat apply at 330°F for 8-10 seconds using light pressure. (Note: This is based on Stahls’ Hotronix and Hot One heat presses. Settings on other heat presses may vary.) |

Two-Color Application 1. Thermo-FLOCK® two-color lettering should be applied in two steps. First apply the background letter for 2-4 seconds with firm pressure in order to flatten down the flock fibers. Then align the foreground and reseal. Add 2-4 seconds for heat to penetrate the increased thickness. Use Lite-Tack or Thermo-Tape during layout to prevent letters from shifting. (Two-color Thermo-FLOCK® is recommended for garments that are not laundered frequently, such as caps, because the upper layer of adhesive cannot adequately grip the fibers of the lower layer.) 2. An alternative to achieving a two-color look is to use Thermo-FILMŪ for the background and Thermo-FLOCK® as the foreground. Align the Thermo-FILM® background and Thermo-FLOCK® foreground together and heat seal together in one step. Add 1-2 seconds for heat to penetrate the increased thickness. |

Notes: 1. If Thermo-Tape is used during application, tack lettering for 1-2 seconds only. Remove the tape carefully and reseal for the proper amount of time. 2. Thermo-FLOCK® can be applied over garment and cap seams. Removal If an application error is made, Stahls' Thermo-FLOCK® can be removed by applying Stahls' Solvent to the reverse side of the fabric behind the lettering. Saturate the area thoroughly and wait 20 seconds. By gently tugging the garment, the letters will pop off. NOTE: Picking at the Thermo-FLOCK® will make removal more difficult. |
